SVG is a native format in Illustrator, so you can simply open the file and use the "Simplify paths" to get very nice and smooth curves.

I'm working on a "deluxe" desktop version that will have many features, among which is the ability to save the animation as a flash file (swf).

Stay around ;)

I'm getting errors trying to save to svg? Is this a bug or a matter of too much load on the server that will go away if I just wait a bit?

I guess it's a server load issue.
It happens sometimes, I'll try to look deeper into the problem and fix it asap.

Thanks for noting that :)

if you can tile this thing seamlessly..then it would be a great pattern maker

I'm confused. I clicked the save to SVG and the loading bar reaches full says done but nothing has happened. I get no errors and no save to window comes up. Is it sent and saved somewhere on the web that I'm not aware of instead of onto my computer?

I often get strange results when I hit UNDO. Sometimes more than one step will undo, other times patterns change drastically.

But I have to say that Qbesq is my "favorite waste of time" and I have spent hours playing with it. Great job!

Congratulations on a brilliant tool, I love it. One thing though, a lot of times after I'm done drawing it will not let me save the SVG file!, it says we cannot save your drawing right now, please try again later!
